Hi everyone!

I’m so happy to be writing an update on how life has been since finals! I have been so busy with school, that Iv’e had barely any time to blog!

A little over a month ago was the finals for Miss Teenage Canada! It was definitely a night that I will never forget! We woke up at around 6am, had a quick bite to eat, and headed off to the final show in Barrie, Ontario! It took around an hour and thirty minutes by tour bus to arrive, and when we did , it was so interesting to see all the different activities that were going on at that location. There was a motorcycle convention, a rodeo, and a pageant all going on at the same time!

We first did a few hours of rehearsal with our amazing pageant coach Shawn, and it was finally show time!

This pageant made me realize that it’s not all about the competition, but the journey there. All the girls were so helpful towards each other, and didn’t seem to have any intentions of wanting the others to fail. I forgot to pack my foundation at one point, and one of the girls offered to me hers! We all helped each other improve our walks, and we always made sure to cheer the girls up if they were sad.

Being in the top 20 felt so amazing, and advancing to the top 10 was felt even more amazing! I was nervous the whole night, but it didn’t matter because it was so much fun! As soon as they called me in one of the top 5, I was so excited! I am so happy to be the third runner up of MTC after the second and first runner ups Melika and Xara!

The show was amazing, and I am so very proud of all the girls. They all looked so amazing!!! Congratulations to Jacklynn for winning MTC 2021!
I hope one day to have a reunion will all my pageant sisters!

Overall, this was an amazing experience that I will remember forever! I want to continue to spread awareness towards my platform, all well accomplishing my goal of being able to study medicine in Europe!

Thank you so much everyone for your support, and thank you Michelle and our chaperones for making this experience unforgettable!

xoxo Aaliya!
