Hi everyone!!! The first official day at Miss Teenage Canada was such a fun day, it started off pretty early but all worth it !
We went to a fun little coffee shop in the dorms ! Breakfast was really good and on top of that I had boxed water, my favourite!!

After breakfast we went back to our rooms and prepared the day ahead of us! Today we got our makeup and hair done by perf, everyone looked so amazing! After the hair and makeup was done we went back to our rooms and got prepared for either our Photoshoot, interview or the view for if we make top 20!

The Interview was pretty stressful but it was good! I answered 4 questions and they were very meaningful. I am confident with my answers !I’m very happy about that!

The Photoshoot was so much fun, the photographer took many shots and many different poses! FOLLOW ME on social media to see them when they come out 😉

The “Top 20 video” was really cool, We introduced ourself and spoke about whatever we wanted! I shared how I want to become a Pediatric Rheumatologist and how I am a perseverant person and don’t give up !

For lunch we had @Cleanmeals who is an Official sponsor of Miss Teenage Canada! I ate spaghetti and vegetables! It was really delicious and really healthy! The portions were perfect and fulfilling! They are also low in calories and have a have a very nice variety and interesting menu ! Thank-you @Cleanmeals !😊

After lunch we had dance rehearsals and practiced how to stand and how to walk, after we got to dance!!!! It was honestly so much fun, since we are all doing different things at the same time but it will look amazing! So looking forward to this !!

After rehearsal we went back to our room and ate @Cleanmeals again! Always so yummy!! I had a vegetable chilli, it was honestly amazing ! I would definitely RECOMMEND CLEANMEALS for people who don’t have the time to cook healthy! It only takes a couple of minutes in the microwave and it’s done and ready to eat!

Stay tuned for the rest of my adventure as Miss Teenage Québec in Toronto @ Miss Teenage Canada

Hey everyone!!! My day started pretty early since I live far from the train station! I left my house at around 7:00 and got to the train terminal at 8:20! Funny story ,the plan was to meet Miss Teenage Montreal at the terminal and take the train together! I was waiting and she wasn’t there! We said we would meet at Starbucks to take some pics with our sash and crown to realize she was at the wrong station and wrong Starbucks!!! I was so stressed because I didn’t want her to miss the train! Good thing she made it right in time , 8 minutes before they closed the gate and we safely arrived in Toronto and we are waiting to board the bus to go to the hotel! Stay tuned for the rest of the day ! 😊

In July I went to Ecuador with the “Me to We Foundation”, to participate in a humanitarian trip and help advance the construction of a facility in one of the communities in the Amazon, a region of Ecuador! Our mission was the foundation, the first step of building a kitchen, so the children could have a good lunch when they are at school! This building will be used as well for workshops so that parents can learn how to cook nutritious food for their families.

During my stay, I learned so much about their culture and I participated in so many fun activities! The first activity we did was to go to the Equator, which is the Center of the world! We were able to balance an egg on a nail. It was so cool! We also were able to the “PTO” test that we see our strength capacity on the northern hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere!

The second thing we did was to go on a tour of the city of Quito, it was the most beautiful city I had ever seen! It was so simple but yet so many details, very memorable and marked in my memories!

After exploring the city for several hours, we went to eat lunch in a very famous park called “Itchimbia“. We took pictures of the huge mountains and of the “Quito” sign. What a great day!

The third day in Ecuador was our travel day to the Amazon! The bus ride was very bumpy and was approximately 6 hours! We even stopped for pizza!! Who knew they served pizza in the Amazon?? I was very happy about that a pleasant surprise. On that day we met the nice staff of The Minga Lodge where we would be staying for a couple of days! Here’s a Cool fact, Minga in Spanish means working as a community through the same goal! We did our first “Minga” when we got to the lodge, we were in a line and had to pass the bags up! I was very proud of my group for doing so! 😊

Forth day gets more interesting!
We finally arrived to the work site and start making a difference in the community!
We stayed a full day, and we got so much done in a short period of time!! Great teamwork! Even the locals were very impressed in how well we worked, even though we were a small group it didn’t stop us of from achieving our personal goals and our group goal , Minga!

Day 5, was really fun!! We got to go to the work site for half a day and then we got to do a “water walk” with the Bargases, a family who lives across the river from where we were staying at! It was very frustrating and mind boggling to realize that this family had to walk the same distance we had just walked at least five times a day just to get enough water to drink and to wash.. the sad thing is.. the water was not clean at all.. I’m so thankful that “Me To We” decided to make a change and they helped that family to create a system for safe drinking water!
That’s me with the flower hat 👇🏼👇🏼

Day 6, we went the the official “Me to We” Cocoa Farm to discover the difference types of cocoa! We were able to see it and taste it right from the raw pod, it actually tastes pretty nasty doesn’t taste a thing like chocolate! I was very surprised and learned a lot from this experience!

Cocoa pod  Day 6, we went the the official “Me to We” Cocoa Farm to discover the difference types of cocoa! We were able to see it and taste it right from the raw pod, it actually tastes pretty nasty doesn’t taste a thing like chocolate! I was very surprised and learned a lot from this experience!

After the Cacao Farm we went to another farm where they grow their fruits and vegetables! It was so nice and we got to plan our own tree! I was so excited when I knew I was gonna plan an avocado tree because that’s my favourite vegetable!

Day 7, we went back to the building site and did so much more! This time we were extremely motivated to do everything they asked from us since it was the second last day before we would be heading back! We worked on the construction site with our hard hats and yellow boots they provided us with! Then we had a fun activity with some ladies from another community who make the “Me to We” bracelets! They shared with us their experience of living in their community and how they got to be part of the group! We all got to make our own bracelets which was so fun, we even got to keep them! I am still wearing it!

Day 8, Today was a very emotional because we got to work on the site for the very last time! We got everything done as planned which was a
great feeling of accomplishment, everyone was so proud!!

After working we got to got to meet a Shaman(healer)he cleansed us with Tobacco leaves and full of other things, a typical ritual that is practiced there. We then went in his backyard and he showed us the weapons they used for killing their food, we were able to test them too!

This was also our last night at Minga Lodge and a group of traditional dancers came to dance for us! It was fascinating to see them dance and how it represented something from their culture! My favourite dance that they did was when the girls were pretending to be fishing in the river! It was so creative!

Day 9 was also very emotional because we had to say goodbye to everyone from the Minga Lodge! And we were already back in the bus coming back to Quito! Time seemed to go so fast and yet slow at times ! I practiced living the present moment to appreciate and cherish everything!

Day 10, we went to visit a beautiful museum in downtown Quito right before we had to catch our flight! We even learned more on the Ecuadorian people, and the many different types of systems they use for the different lifestyles compared to us.
After the museum, we rushed back to the hotel got our bags and headed to the airport!! We left Ecuador at around 3:30 to only be back home at 12:30pm! It was a long plane ride and at the same time in my head so quick as I was remembering my trip and all that I learned and lived.

I would like to thank “Me to We” for giving the opportunity to me and others to experience an amazing and eye opening trip that is graved in my heart! This was my first humanitarian trip but definitely not the last !

I would also like to thank my wonderful dance teacher for organizing this trip and having the patience and determination to organize some fundraising events! A special Thank-you to her husband as well for coming on the trip and helping us when we had the smallest injuries!

Thank you everyone for reading my long post, hope you enjoyed it! Perhaps I have inspired you and Maybe you’ll to join me on my next humanitarian trip? 😉

Back in May at the Miss Teenage Quebec pageant, I meet a wonderful human being! She was so nice and kind to me and after the pageant we stayed in contact! She won the title of “Miss Teenage Montreal.” I am so proud of her because it was her first time competing in a pageant!

Last Saturday, Mackie and I planned a fun day at the water park in the beautiful Laurentian’s ! It was a beautiful day, with sun and clouds and we were even rained on at the end of the day!

We got to do so many water slides, relax and talk about how we are getting ready for the national pageant that is coming up in August!

We had so much fun in the wave pool, and so many other cool slides! The awesome thing about this water park is that it is in the mountains, so when you are way up high waiting to go down on a slide, you have a beautiful view of the Village of St. Sauveur!

After the park closed, we decided to go to the sites “F.U.N Park” which has rides and activities for all ages. We did a ride called the “Viking”which is an alpine roller coaster that reaches up to 35km/hour in the mountains for 1.5 kilometres!!

Then we did another ride called the “Dragon”, a unique zip line that moved backwards to the top of the the hill, then released so that gravity will bring you back to your starting point at 45 km/hour and 43 meters high !!! WOW! The Dragon was a thrilling experience with a breathtaking view of the Saint-Sauveur!

The day was supposed to end at 6:30 , our parents were waiting, but they joined us and we left almost at 9pm! It was so much fun so we planned another day of activities before the big pageant!

I am convinced that we will continue being friends after the pageant because we have developed such a great bond!
I am so looking forward meeting all the other contestants and make new friends!

Stay tuned for our next activity 💕

Hello my name is Stephanie-Ann, I am ecstatic to say I am your Miss Teenage Quebec 2018. I live in a small village in the Laurentians; St-Hippolyte which is approximately 45 minutes from Montreal.

Since a very young age I had always wanted to be a model, I loved taking pictures and posing and that’s why my mother put me into an agency. I realize that I am passionate for acting and modeling. I have acted in many scenes in diverse movies as well as publicity’s for many companies over the years.

I always like to come out of my comfort zone and create new goals for myself and this is how I got into pageantry. I love the idea of creating friendships with people around the planet who participate and live the same experience as you but might feel extremely different. To share and learn from one another and the bond we create is amazing and priceless.

Miss Teenage Quebec and Miss Teenage Montréal

Winning Miss Teenage Quebec has given me so many new opportunities that I would have never imagined. I am very proud of myself that I tried and succeeded, the sky is the limit!

At the young age of almost 2 years old I was diagnosed with a medical condition called “Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis”. It is hard to think back so young, but now as a young adult I can confirm and realize that I didn’t know a childhood without pain. I live with pain almost everyday but I don’t complain about it or let it get me down. I have my ups and downs like everyone. Living with my condition is not the end of the world because it’s not fatal but it does limit me sometimes in certain ways.
Some people have told me it must be a burden and difficult living with this disease. I try to see things in a different way and realize that it has brought me many great opportunities that perhaps would not have been on my path otherwise. Between the ages of 8 until 16 years old , I would participate at a special week called “Camp Articulaction”. All of the campers had some type or form of Arthritis. I got to meet wonderful people and kids and we were able to share our stories and understand and encourage one another, as for we all had a disease with similarities.

I was also spokesperson for “The Arthritis Society” at the age of 9, I got to participate in the Walk for Arthritis and so many more events that made me grow as a person and become who I am today. I am forever grateful!

My career plan is to become a Pediatric Rheumatologist. My goal is to research, help and understand those children who suffer like I did, like I do. To help them on many levels and give back like those doctors who have helped me and inspired me to find my path to becoming a doctor. I will be entering University in the Fall of 2019!

Doing volunteer work has always been important for me! I enjoy giving my time to people who need it and appreciate it! I believe that today’s youth should be more involved in their community and give back. This ties in to my platform since I try to promote volunteerism the best way I can. It so important to give back to our community and each time we give back, we meet new people have fun and grow in many different ways! Life is good!

I recently went to Ecuador with the “Me To We “organization on a humanitarian trip. This experience was so enriching and mind opening. We started to build a kitchen for the kids of the Hatun Urku community who don’t eat lunch on school days. With this new infrastructure they will be able to have healthy meals every day! I am proud to say that I was part of this because it will truly change someone’s life.

Thank you for reading and stay tuned for the next blog coming soon!!

It has begun. The 2017 search for Miss Teenage Canada started triumphantly with a party for the fifty seven regional delegates that was hosted entirely by sponsors. The sponsoring event went super well! Golden glamorous Goddesses have the most amazing products. All of their soaps are handmade ! They are mixed with a variety of smells and textures such as shea butter, coconut and more. The products are made by a mother and daughter that work as a team. It was so much fun meeting the women behind all the master pieces of body lotions. She was offering discounts for spray tans and was greatly explaining how she does her work with her daughter.

During the sponsorships event, they were displaying the black heels that we will be wearing during our pageant . We visited their store today and they gave every girl a 50$ gift card for their store . They have amazing and comfortable heels ! I bought a pair of blue heels and I absolutely adore them ! The workers at the ninewest store in the Yorkdale mall( Toronto) have been so nice in helping all of us out ! Rob himself was running the Archer Dental booth and giving away dental supplies. Hey everyone! I have release an article called ” Ste-Catherine Street Style” that is all about fashion on the famous Ste-Catherine street in Montreal on the streetchic.ca. Being fashionable is everyone’s goal.  Although, there isn’t really just one way to have style and look good because everyone has their own type of look they want to present. Fashion cannot be defined by one sentence because there are so many different kinds of styles out there! Every person is different. We all have our own view of what fashions for us means and every answer is right.

An everyday look with my favourite New York cap!

The famous Ste-Catherine Street!

Ste-Catherine Street is definitely one of the most trendiest streets in Montreal. It is about 11.5 km long with many different shops that go from streets brands to top international brands. Any store you want, you’ll definitely find along this street. There are many different people with many more different style’s you will see coming from all over the world walking along this commercial street. I love shopping on Ste-Catherine because it has all my favourite shops and many delicious food chains for a quick snack!

Formal wear by Christina!

Checking out my article is definitely worth it! I have posted various looks and how fashion really has an importance in our society. One cannot define fashion because fashion is universal, it changes and has many different shapes, colours and styles. I have written about Ste-Catherine street and how fashionable it is. That is a street that is worth visiting and to shop around (of course!). The following is a link to the website! Take the time to check it out to realize how fashionable Montreal is!

Click on STREET CHIC for the article!

The pageant is just around the corner! I will be posting blogs and Facebook photos to keep everyone updated on what’s happening for everyone to see so I can share my story.

Europe Trip!

Just a few days ago I came back from my trip from France! the trip was planned since March. It is such a beautiful country.  I believe traveling is an important part of growing as a person and learning new things because you expose yourself to so many different cultures, experiences and ways of living that are so different from the ways we live. Travelling opens ones mind to how vast and beautiful our world is! It educates us into learning more about the other people that live on our planet. Our world holds many precious gifts, artifacts, and history that is worth seeing and learning. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see the Eiffel tower in Paris or the Colosseum in Greece? I am grateful for every opportunity that I get to travel wether it be in another town, province, country or continent!

The Alpes

My family and I stayed in a chalet in a place called Meribel, one of the three valleys alongside Courcheval and Val-thoren. It is a very mountainous region with spectacular views. It’s about 2 hours way from Lyon airport. It is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life. The most popular activity there is mountain walking/climbing. On my last day in Meribel, I did an 8 hour walk up to a mountain called Gebroula that has large massive glaciers on it.

The Glaciers!

I stayed in the Alpes for 10 days then we drove down to Cannes! The South of France. It’s just like Miami beach, just way hotter! The apartment that we stayed in had a beautiful view of the mediterranean sea. The Cannes film festival is one of the most popular events that occur in this city. People travel all around the world to come to this festival; all the big stars, directors and film producers attend this huge event!

We did some shopping in Cannes and ate amazing seafood since we were located right next to the sea. One day we rented a boat and traveled around the islands. My family and I went swimming in water.  The water in Cote D’Azur was a beautiful dark blue and it felt amazing swimming in it. The weather was sunny during our entire trip! We even went down to Monaco, Monte-Carlo for a day! Monaco is one of the richest places in the world! The city is so beautiful, it is a very mountainous place also located along the sea. There were so many luxurious cars such as Rolls Royce, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini’s and many more.

This was a photo I took! What a view of Monte- Carlo.

Mediterranean Sea! A beautiful blue ocean. Cote D’Azur. A photo by me!

One day we went out to the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc. It is one of the fanciest and most expensive hotels in the world! It had an amazing view of the sea (of course) and was beautiful. All the famous stars stay at this hotel during the Cannes film festival.

At the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc!

Hope you enjoyed reading it! More to come.

I am a staunch Canadian, a proud Quebecer and a passionate Montrealer. I love and cherish the city as I love my own soul. I belong to a community with diversity in race, culture, beliefs and faith, but all are united by love to our city. I feel strongly empowered when I introduce ” my Montreal” to my new friends, as I was given the privilege and opportunity to travel parts of the world, and I am so grateful to have sponsors.

A Little Jump Into Montreal’s Past

When Jacques Cartier and Samuel De Champlain sailed to Montreal in 1535 and 1607 respectively, the land was inhabited by the ” Iroquois” who defended their hunting grounds ferociously and blocked the attempts of the french explorer to establish a fur trading post. It is only in 1642 that a free colonial empire was created by a mission made ” Ville Marie” which became a centre for the fur trade and french expansion into ” New France” until 1760, when it was surrendered to the British Army following the defeat of the ” battle of the plains of Abraham”. Hence the expansion of the British immigration in the city. Montreal became official a city in 1842 and the largest in British North America. It is the undisputed economic and culture centre of Canada. Today, we Montrealer’s are celebrating the 375th birthday of our city.

A Top Lifestyle

Mercer, one of the world’s largest consulting firms in HR, released the “best quality of life index” in 450 cities across the world, as regards to the political, social and economic environment, medical and health care considerations, schools and education, theatres, restaurants, consumer goods and availability. Montreal ranked among the best 27 cities competing with Brussels in Belgium, Vienna in Austria, Stockholm in Sweden and Hamburg in Germany. In a spam of a year, Montreal was awarded an international reputation of being the dream city in the world. Its safety, cleanliness, health and green spaces merited many of the city’s efforts in green transportation to reducer carbon emissions.

What Can I not Love About this City!

If you’re asking why Montreal is my favourite city, well the last paragraph really explained it! I was born and educated in Montreal, the list of beautiful spots in my city would exhaust more pages than I am allowed. There are two places that I absolutely love. The plateau of Mount Royal is my favourite spot, a cosmopolitan area in a formerly working-class neighbourhood, has been transformed into a trendy cultural place known for its hipsters, cafes, dinners and gaming industries. It has become a must-see for visitors and an important tourist destination. you can come on by foot, bicycles, mopeds and buses. Montreal Mile End is the coolest neighbourhood in the world of 2017, ahead of places like in Berlin, Rio De Janeiro, Hong Kong and London.

Another beautiful place is ” Old Montreal”, located along the river with an amazing waterfront. It has a European taste to it with its cobblestone road, narrow streets and horse carriages. After a long day of strolling in these medieval roads, you may be craving for a steak at the Keg or Gibby’s at a short walking distance from main street ” Saint Paul”. If you feel for a mouth- watering culinary seafood specialities, ” La Maree” is right on “Place Cartier”. ” Marche Bonsecours” is a complement to your shopping spree. The festivals succeeding each other starting in June with the Formula 1, The Jazz festival, the Cartifest, the Just for Laugh, the E car race etc. have made Montreal the city of fantastic fiestas. I am so passionately in love with “my Montreal” that I want the whole world to share such moments with me.

The pageant is just moments away and I am so very excited for it! I cannot wait to begin the one week journey in Toronto while competing in the Miss Teenage Canada pageant!
